  6. Sign up for Society for Academic Emergency Medicine South Central Regional Meeting in Austin on September 8-9th (open to all medical students)

  7. PM&R: Sign up to volunteer for the Wheelchair Softball World Series)

  9. KAMSA Texas – open to Korean-American medical students in Texas medical schools for networking, volunteer opportunities, scholarships and more.
    • To become a member, join “Korean American Medical Student Association (KAMSA)” on Facebook.
  10. KAMA Texas gala – November 18th at 6 PM at the Sheraton Houston Brookhollow Hotel
    • Dinner, keynote presentation by Dr. Augustine M.K. Choi, the Dean of Cornell Medical School, games, and scholarship award ceremony. Student registration free. Details on FB page. (invitation attached)
  11. KAMA of Texas Medical Student Scholarship – 3 awards of $2000- due September 30th

  12. PM&R – Sign up to be on the listserv (email list)
  13. American Heart Walk – September 9th at 9 AM – base of Reunion Tower
  14. DFW Hep B Free Project – sign-up to volunteer for the September screenings (ESPECIALLY need phlebotomy-trained volunteers)
  15. RIG – Radiology Interest Group Shadowing.
    • Log in to Moodle and click “Course Search”. Search for “Radiology Observerships” and enroll in the course to view dates and instructions.
